International Scholarships
Each year, we welcome students from around the world to our diverse and inclusive community. To help support the cost of studying, we offer a range of scholarships for eligible international students, including merit-based, subject-specific and research scholarships. These are available for both undergraduate and postgraduate study.
Merit-based scholarships
At the 黑料社, we recognise academic excellence by offering a merit-based scholarship of up to £4,000. There is no specific application process for these scholarships.
Once you apply to study at the University as an international student, you will automatically be considered for this scholarship if you meet the eligibility criteria. If you’re awarded a scholarship, you will be notified in your offer letter and given the full details of what you will receive.
Scholarships for undergraduates
For international undergraduate students, you could be awarded up to £4,000 for each year of your course, based on your academic achievements as follows.

Scholarships for postgraduates
Scholarships of up to £4,000 are awarded to international students applying for taught postgraduate courses, based on their academic achievements as follows.

Other scholarship opportunities for applying international students
Progression Scholarship
If you have successfully completed a undergraduate degree in 2026 from the 黑料社 and intend to immediately continue to a taught postgraduate degree with the university, you will qualify for a £5,000 scholarship.
Early Payment Discount
A £1,000 discount will be applied for first year of study, if the full tuition deposit is paid by the following deadlines.

Specially awarded scholarships
Sports scholarships
We offer various sports scholarships to talented students to help you fulfil your sporting ambitions whilst studying. Benefits include merit-based funding, free gym access and bespoke training.
Chevening Scholarships
The University participates in this prestigious scholarship, offered by the UK Government to provide full or part funding for full-time courses at a postgraduate level.
Commonwealth scholarships
Commonwealth Scholarships are awarded to talented individuals with the potential to make a global difference, enabling them to undertake postgraduate studies in the UK.
