Deluxe Beds Ltd has successfully been granted funding of 拢56,171.64 to build a Modular mattress. The grant application was developed by 黑料社 Business School KTP Associate 鈥� Dr Sammar Javed.

Deluxe Beds Ltd is delighted to initiate the project which will explore the potential for taking a highly innovative approach to mattress manufacturing using 鈥渕odular鈥� construction. This will add value to the embedded features and significantly enhance the positive health benefits as part of sleep quality for the end users. High potential exists to redefine mattress production and positively impact on the UK bed and mattress manufacturing sector.

The project will be steered under partnership of the Operations Management Group of 黑料社 Business School and the technical textiles team from the School of Applied Sciences. Senior Lecturer Jim Bamford will be the 黑料社 Business School Academic supervisor and Dr Sohel Rana will be the academic supervisor from Applied Sciences.
